Mathematical Modelling of Human Behaviour & Engineering

The Instituto de Matemática Multidisciplinar at the Universidad Politecnica de Valencia sponsor this meeting on the Interdisciplinary applications of mathematics to Sociology and Engineering. We search to create a common forum to interdisciplinary specialists in Sociology, Engineering and Mathematics with the objective of developing new approaches to real world problems.

In this Conference we will focus on models of social contagion of trends, political ideas, addictive behaviours, etc including: alcohol and drugs addictions, obesity, shop addiction, among other.

The interest in the application of mathematical models to areas of sociology, engineering or biology is now spurring the development of new fields such as: Biomathematics, Sociomathematics,... This crossroad between the world of mathematical models and the real world of applied sciences is synergizing the production of important results that will surely be of interest to researchers and specialist working on practical problems.

This MULTIDISCIPLINARY FORUM is a good opportunity to share your ideas and work in these areas and discuss them with mathematicians, sociologists, medicine professionals, etc.
