From the Departamento de Matemática Aplicada y los Institutos Universitarios de Matemática Multidisciplinar y Matemática Pura y Aplicada, with the Vicerrectorado de Arte, Ciencia, Tecnología y Sociedad de la Universitat Politècnica de València.

We are pleased to announce that on Monday 27 February at 17:00 h we will jointly celebrate, a few days in advance, the International Mathematics Day and Women’s Day.

To do so, we have organised:

an activity that includes a live dance performance by the Grupo de Danza Marta Gómez and the screening of the short film Mathematics in Dance presented by the Educational Innovation Group Mathematical Thinking, of which you can see a trailer

As it is easy to guess, this is an activity whose protagonists are Mathematics, dance and the women who have mainly promoted this activity, led by Mariló López, professor at the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid.

From 17:00 in the Paraninfo Hall of the Rectorate of the Universitat Politècnica de València, “things will start to happen”. And at 17:30, inside the auditorium, the short film will be screened together with live dance performances.

This activity is open to the public and is suitable for all ages, so we encourage you to participate and to invite your families and friends as well.

We look forward to seeing you.
