Collaboration agreement with the National Institute for Mathematical Sciences (NIMS) of South Korea

The IMM and the National Institute for Mathematical Sciences (NIMS) of South Korea have signed a collaboration agreement between both entities to promote research and the exchange of pre- and post-doctoral staff.

On Thursday, September 11, it was the turn of the UPV and NIMS to sign the agreement. The agreement was signed by the UPV’s Vice-Rector for Research, Belén Picó, and Yun Sung Choi, President of the NIMS, accompanied by Juan Carlos Cortés and José Manuel Calabuig, directors of the IMM and IUMPA, respectively. This agreement includes the exchange of research staff to give lectures, lead seminars, and participate in workshops, as well as the launch of new research projects. After the signing of the agreement, there was a presentation of the lines of research of the three entities.

“By bringing together the UPV, NIMS, and leading organizations such as IMM and IUMPA, this agreement lays the foundation for global collaboration that fosters talent in the mathematical sciences and contributes to the progress of humanity,” said Yun Sung Choi.

On Friday, September 12, NIMS visited IMM to sign the collaboration agreement. During their visit, NIMS members toured IMM’s facilities and exchanged opinions and concerns with pre- and post-doctoral researchers.
