IMM Strengthens Its Presence at CEDYA 2026 Through Key Roles on Committees and in the Scientific Program

The Institute of Multidisciplinary Mathematics (IMM) stands out for its extensive involvement in organizing the Congress on Differential Equations and Applications / Congress on Applied Mathematics (CEDYA/CMA 2026), which will take place from July 6 to 10, 2026, at the Interfaculty Lecture Hall of the Faculty of Pharmacy and Food Sciences at the Universitat de València, on the Burjassot Campus. The event, sponsored by the Spanish Society of Applied Mathematics (SEMA), will be held entirely in person and bring together national and international researchers in differential equations, numerical analysis, modeling, and applications.

Prominent Participation by the IMM

The IMM’s presence on the conference committees is particularly significant:

  • Juan Carlos Cortés, head of the IMM, is a member of the Scientific Committee, contributing to the definition of the academic program and the evaluation of proposals.
  • Cristina Santamaría (secretary of the IMM), Begoña Cantó, José Más and Dolors Roselló are part of the Organizing Committee.

Their joint efforts enhance the institute’s visibility and its role in the applied mathematics community.

In addition, IMM researcher Sergio Blanes will deliver a plenary lecture -one of the conference’s highlights- presenting recent advances in his field.

Key Dates for the Research Community

The deadlines for conference participation are:

  • Mini-symposium proposals: May 8, 2026.
  • Oral and poster presentation proposals: May 21, 2026
  • Early bird registration: June 1, 2026

These dates offer established researchers and young talent the opportunity to present their work and establish new collaborations.
